Malaysia 3 bye-election Candidate



OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE ELECTION COMMISSION

Jawah Gerang of PKR and Malcom Mussen are the official candidates who will be contesting Batang Ai by-election N.29 which will be held on April 7.

Three cornered fight for Bt Gantang by-election, between BN’s Ismail Saffian, PAS’s MB Nizar Jamaluddin and independent Kamarul Ramizu Idris, returning officer Mahmud Morshidi made the announcement officially. Crowd greeted the announcement with thunderous shouts and applause.

The Election Commission returning officer for Bt Selambau officially announced that there were nine objections and all of them are rejected. The EC officially confirms that all 15 candidates will be contesting in the bye-election. The election symbols chosen by the candidates include tiger’s head, oil palm tree, bicycle, umbrella, a book, a bus, fish, telephone and airplane. The EC also announced that 13 are independent candidates and one each from Barisan Nasional (S. Ganesan) and PKR ( S. Manikumar).


Batang Ai

Batang Ai returning officer Nelson Mujah declares nominations closed at10 am. The Batang Ai state assembly seat in Sarawak will see a straight fight between the Barisan Nasional and the PKR. Independent candidate Johny Chua has pulled out of the race. He declared his support for the PKR. MB Khalid hugged Johny Chua for his support towards the PKR. Objection towards nomination papers can be lodged between 10 am to 11 am and the candidates will be announced officially at noon.


Bt Gantang

It’s a three-cornered fight for Bukit Gantang between Ismail Safian (BN-Umno), Perak mentri besar Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin (PR-PAS) and independent Kamarul Ramizu. Nominations ended at 10 am. The candidates will be announced officially at noon.


Bt Selambau

The nomination for Bt Selambau has officially closed at 10 am. There was a huge crowd of PR supporters at the nomination centre. Altogether 15 candidates have filed nomination papers for the Bukit Selambau by-election in Sungai Lalang. Of the number 13 are independent candidates and one each from Barisan Nasional (S. Ganesan) and PKR ( S. Manikumar).
