KUALA LUMPUR: DIALOG GROUP BHD [ DIALOG 1.160 -0.030 (-2.521%) ] posted net profit of RM92.18 million for the financial year ended June 30, 2009, up 21.9% from the RM75.57 million a year ago while FY09 revenue surged past the historic RM1 billion for the first time in its history.
Announcing the strong set of results on Aug 19, it said FY09 was an outstanding year for the group with a record revenue of RM1.1 billion, a 40% growth from last year.
"Profits after tax (but before attributable to shareholders) was up by 24% to a record profit of RM101.3 million as compared to RM81.6 million last year. This is the first time the group recorded a revenue exceeding RM1 billion and profit after tax exceeding RM100 million," it said.
Dialog said the results of all divisions for FY09 outperformed the previous year, in particular the specialist products and services division, both in Malaysia and overseas.
The revenue and net profit after tax for the fourth quarter of RM357.7 million and RM33.49 million was 98% and 89% higher respectively when compared to same quarter last year.
"The exceptional performance in the current quarter was mainly attributable to higher contributions from Specialist Products and Services and Plant Maintenance Divisions," it said.
