Indonesian military plane crash, 57 reported dead

An Indonesian military transport jet crashed in East Java killing at least 57 people, a military doctor and local media reported.
MCPXThe Hercules was reported to have ploughed into homes on the ground as it crashed and caught fire in Magetan.
Local media said that at least 57 people were killed, including five on the ground.
"There have been 70 people brought to the hospital, of whom 57 are dead," a military doctor, who goes by the one name Alex, told ElShinta radio.
"The plane hit some houses, bounced, hit the ground, and then caught fire," a witness told Metro TV.
Air Force officer Herli Dwiyanto told AFP the plane had at least 13 crew on board and an unknown number of passengers.
"The aircraft was flying from Jakarta to East Java with 13 crew members but the number of passengers is unknown."
