Success Transformer Corporation Bhd posted a profit after tax (PAT) and minority interest of RM7 million for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2010, slightly higher than its 2009 result. Revenue jumped 26.9 per cent to RM67 million compared to RM52.8 million recorded in 2009, the company said in a statement today.
It attributed the improved performance to better sales contributions from its lightings and transformer segments. As part of its move to expand its market, the company, which manufactures and trades in electrical apparatus and industrial lighting, and metal casings, plans to set up more distribution outlets in Singapore, United States and Europe. It also expects revenue from its process equipment operations via its 65 per cent-owned Seremban Engineering Bhd (SEB) to see better growth in the current financial year.--BERNAMA
