Kurnia Asia Bhd said it received expressions of interest from companies interested in buying an equity stake in its wholly owned insurance unit, Kurnia Insurans (Malaysia) Bhd. The central bank has given approval for it to commence preliminary negotiations, Kurnia said in a statement today, without naming the potential buyers. -- Bloomberg
