I would like to change my car engine oil.
But my friend say semi synthetic is better.
So I go to the internet and do some comparison.
FULL SYNTHETIC OIL:
- Highly recommended for new cars/engines under 75,000 miles — Sometimes required.
- Exceeds basic lubrication requirements
- Good for up to 7,000 miles (sometimes 10,000) which allows for longer oil change intervals
- Provides factory-like protection against corrosion, friction, & heat wear
- Extends life of engine
- Best possible oil for your car no matter how old or new
SEMI-SYNTHETIC/SYNTHETIC BLEND OIL:
- Can be used in cars/engines under or above 75,000 miles
- Exceeds basic lubrication requirements
- Protects against corrosion, friction, heat wear & sludge build-up
- Good for stop-and-go driving
- Has ‘seal-conditioners’ to prevent small leaks from occurring & seal pre-existing, minor leaks
- Good for up to 5,000 miles allowing for longer oil change intervals
CONVENTIONAL OIL:
- Meets industry’s basic lubrication requirements
- Good for 3,000 miles
- Provides basic protection against friction wear
