RM 7 billion stimulant package

The initiatives will largely be funded by the RM7bn in savings from
the reduction in fuel subsidies earlier this year. The key measures announced include:

• Reaffirming the RM5bn in funds to be loaned by EPF and injected into Valuecap.
I heard the 5 bn is to bailout the bond issue by valuecap which is due on next Feb 2009.

• RM1.2bn to be allocated to build 25,000 low-cost and medium-cost houses.
How many will be benefit from this?

• RM1.5bn in funds to attract private sector investment in technology-related sectors.
What kind of technology? I think should introduce technology of reducing pot hole on the road or detection of mat rempit.

• Employees can reduce their EPF contribution on a voluntary basis by 3% for up to 2 years.
3 % , 1000 only RM30, 1 lunch already finished.


• RM600m to be channelled to mini-infrastructure projects.
How mini is mini?

• RM500m to be allocated for the repair and maintenance of public infrastructure.
Public infrastructure already very poor or in 3rd stage cancer, repair also useless.

• RM500m to build and upgrade rural roads.
Rural roads who use?


• RM500m allocation to maintain and improve the public transportation system.
Please buy more commuter train so that I no need molest and being molest by other people every morning.

• RM500m for the maintenance of police stations and quarters as well as army camps.
Please build a police station near Chow Kit or near the "dark area" petrol kiosk at Kelang.

• RM400m allocation to speed up implementation of the High Speed Broadband project.
Broadband? My house until today not enuf port?

• Open tenders to develop Government land.
How open is your tenders?

• Foreigners to be allowed to purchase commercial properties above RM500,000 without FIC approval.
Buy 500,000 makan 200,000, same same.

• Allowing hypermarkets to close late. The closing time is extended to 11pm for weekdays and extended to 1am for weekends.
This is fun, can shop till you drop and robber can have high chance to rob you.

• Abolishment of 5% import duty on fertiliser, steel and cement.
Aiya, sell too early masteel. Hopefully vege will reduce price.

• BNM to provide RM200m for the micro-credit scheme.
Macro already not good, still talk about micro?

• Ceiling for civil servants’ car loans to be raised.
Proton share price please go up, I have 1 lot at 5.50.

• Biodiesel to be used in Government vehicles from Feb 2009.
