Cooling Coil /Evaporator
My car proton iswara 1.5 1997 model air con spoilt. It is suspected that the air con cooling coil leaking. The mechanic will take out the coil and put inside the water to check for bubble. If have bubble means leaking. So I went to a few shop and asked about the price.
1) A Shop at Semenyih
Cooling Coil = RM 220
Valve = RM 70 (not necessary)
Filter = RM 60
Add Gas = RM 20
Total = RM 370.00
2) B Shop at Semenyih
Cooling Coil = RM 220
Valve = RM 30 (not necessary)
Filter = RM 45
Add Gas = RM 20
Total = RM 315.00
3) C Shop at Mahkota Cheras
Cooling Coil = RM 240
Valve = RM 80 (Must change valve)
Filter = RM 85
Add Gas = RM 20
Total = RM 425.00
So, In the end, I go to the B shop to fix my air con. Valve no need to change.
Total price is RM 250.00 only.
This story teach us to survey few more shop expecially servicing car.
