Eastern Pacific sees higher profit in Q3

I am waiting for lower price.

EASTERN Pacific Industrial Corporation Bhd posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM20.8 million in the third quarter ended Sept 30, 2010, compared with RM14.3 million pre-tax profit in the same period last year. The revenue increased by 67 per cent to RM72.8 million from RM43.7 million.

For the nine-month period, the company recorded RM57.2 million, up by 36 per cent compared with RM42.1 million achieved in the same period in the preceding year. Revenue for the nine-month period rose to RM181.8 million from RM133.9 million. In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Eastern Pacific said the increase in revenue and pre-tax profit were mainly due to the increase in port operations and oil and gas activities. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, it said the directors are confident that the group will be able to achieve satisfactory results for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2010 compared with last year. -- BERNAMA
