TA Enterprise Bhd's pre-tax profit for the first quarter ended Apr 30, 2011 rose to RM55.3 million from RM37.1 million in the previous corresponding quarter. Revenue increased to RM174.72 million from RM142.35 million previously, the company said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia today. It said the better results were mainly due to higher contributions from the stockbroking division and TA Global Group. -- Bernama
