KUALA LUMPUR (Jan 8): Based on Bursa Malaysia announcements and news flow today, stocks to watch tomorrow (January 9) may include the following companies :

LPI Capital Bhd said net profit rose 11% to RM52.39 million in the fourth quarter ended December 31, 2013 from RM47.39 million a year earlier. Revenue climbed to RM294.65 million from RM271.93 million.

Full-year net profit rose to RM201.44 million from RM166.93 million a year earlier. Revenue was higher at RM1.12 billion versus RM1.04 billion.

The company plans to reward shareholders with a second interim dividend of 52 sen a share for the quarter in review. That brings total dividends for FY13 to 70 sen a share.

Grand Hoover Bhd hit limit up after shares of the property developer and builder jumped as much as 30 sen or 86% to 65 sen today.

Bursa Malaysia has queried Grand Hoover on the sharp rise in its share price. In response to the exchange regulator, Grand Hoover said it is not aware of any corporate development which may have led to sharp rise in the stock's price.

Trading of Grand Hoover shares which was suspended since 3.33pm today, resumes at 9am tomorrow.

Meanwhile, trading of shares in GW Plastics Holdings Bhd has been suspended since 4.45pm today.

GW Plastics, a manufacturer and marketer of plastic-film packaging products, said trading of the stock will remain suspended until 5pm tomorrow (January 9).

“Kindly be advised that at the request of the above company, trading in its securities has been suspended with effect from 4.45 p.m., Wednesday, 8 January 2014 pending an announcement," GW Plastics said.

Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd (BToto) and Gamuda Bhd may be closely watched as both stocks trade ex-dividend tomorrow.

BToto plans to reward shareholders with a dividend of six sen a share while builder Gamuda has also proposed a similar payout.
